Timezone Specific Settings for Smart Calls

We strongly recommend you go through “Universal Time Settings for Smart Calls” settings page first before reading this page for better understanding.



The “Time Zone Specific Settings” help you override the “Universal Time Settings for Smart Calls” for time zones where you want the smart calls to initiate differently from all other time zones. Sub options as under:

  1. Override Universal settings for below time zone”: Select the desired time zone which will follow different settings from the “Universal Time Settings for Smart Calls”.

  2. Start Smart Calls from”: You set the time from when the smart calls will start initiating for your customers. This time must be put in accordance with selected time zone in step 01.

  3. Stop Smart Calls after”: You set the time after which no smart calls will be made to your customers. This time must be put in accordance with selected time zone in step 01.

  4. “Stop Smart Calls on below days:” You can use this to set specific days (could be weekends, festivals, national holidays etc) on which you don’t want your customers in that time zone to receive any call for review collection.
The settings here override the settings done in “Universal Time Settings for Smart Calls”. This is better understood with example below.

Example:

To understand this from example, let’s assume following are the settings done by you:

Settings for “Universal Time Settings for Smart Calls” section:
  1. Your store time zone: India (Asia/Kolkata (GMT +5:30))
  2. Start smart calls from: 1000 hours.
  3. Stop Smart calls from: 1800 hours.
  4. Stop Smart Calls on below days: Say you have set this to 25-Jun-2023 and 15-Jul-2023.

Settings for “Timezone Specific Settings for Smart Calls” section:
  1. Override Universal settings for below timezone: AMERICA/NEW_YORK (GMT-05:00)
  2. Start smart calls from: 1100 hours.
  3. Stop Smart calls from: 1700 hours.
  4. Stop Smart Calls on below days: Say you have set this to 28-Jun-2023 and 17-Jul-2023.

Customers Info:
  1. Customer A – from home country India.
  2. Customer B – from country USA.
  3. Customer C – from another country say Japan.

Now

Calls to customer A: These will be made in accordance with “Universal Time Settings for Smart Calls” section. Smart calls will be made when time is between 1000 hours to 1800 hours in India everyday except when it is 25-Jun-2023 & 15-Jul-2023 in India.

Calls to customer B: These will be made in accordance with “Time zone Specific Settings for Smart Calls” section. Smart calls will be made when time is between 1100 hours to 1700 hours in USA every day except when it is 28-Jun-2023 & 17-Jul-2023 in USA irrespective of time & date in India.

Calls to customer C: These will be made in accordance with “Universal Time Settings for Smart Calls” section. Smart calls will be made when time is between 1000 hours to 1800 hours in Japan every day except when it is 25-Jun-2023 & 15-Jul-2023 in Japan irrespective of time & date in India.
